Welcome to caprivi River Lodge

Caprivi River Lodge is situated on the lush banks of the mighty Zambezi river, nestled under the shady canopy of tall indigenous trees; surrounded by green lawns and beautiful gardens that attracts a wide variety of bird life.

A theme throughout the lodge is the unique furniture and carvings. Incorporated in the main building is the lounge, bar and kitchen, flowing from this is our dining lapa and an extension to this are the decks and walkways overlooking the waters of the Zambezi. Last but not least is our boma fireplace with its’ African chairs where one can relax after dinner, chin wag and finish off the evening.

Caprivi River Lodge is an ideal place in which to chill out and relax, plan excursions to the national parks of the Zambezi region; Nkasa Lupala, Madumu and Bwabwata to name but a few; or to the neighbouring countries of Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe with world renowned attractions. Such as the Chobe National Park or the world heritage site “the Victoria Falls’.

Owned by Keith and Mary Rooken-Smith who with the help of a small management and staff team run and operated the lodge with a hands on approach.

Keith, Mary and their staff invite you to enjoy this wonderful setting, its’gardens and homely atmosphere.
